Are we locked into a contract?

Accepted Answer

No. There is no setup fee and no exit fee for EventTicketGo. On the Free plan you pay nothing up front, only the payment fee on money you collect. Community is $399 a year or $39 a month if you want every product and no limits. See pricing . Your data leaves with you. Open any event under Tickets and use Download attendees (CSV) in the Attendees section. It lists every ticket, the buyer, the seat, and the check in time. Every buyer is also saved in People , your one contact list.

Question 2

Can buyers transfer tickets to someone else?

Accepted Answer

Yes, one ticket at a time, with no account. Open Open your tickets in the confirmation email. Under the ticket, tap Send this ticket to someone else . Type Their name and Their email , then tap Send it . The new person gets an email with their own link and QR code. The old QR code stops working, so only the new holder gets in. They can send it on again the same way. Good to know Transfers close when the event starts, and a ticket already scanned at the door cannot be sent. The money stays with the first order, so a refund still goes back to the person who paid. Organizers see who has each ticket in the Attendees list, marked "from" the buyer.

Can I add my own logo and brand colors?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Go to Settings and scroll to Branding . Upload your School logo , pick a Brand color , and click Save branding . Only an owner or admin can do this. Your logo and color show on your dashboard and on the pages families see, like signups and ticket sales.

Question 4

Can I add new teachers after the night is published?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Open the night under Conferences and use Add teachers or Import CSV . The new teacher gets the night's full grid of times and appears on the booking page right away, even while booking is open. Then click Email each teacher their link , or copy the new teacher's link from the Teacher link column and send it yourself.

Can I book more than one teacher?

Accepted Answer

Yes. After you book one teacher, tap All Teachers and book the next. Your details are filled in for you. You can book each teacher once per child. Two of your meetings cannot be at the same time. Your school may set a maximum per family. The page shows it near the top. For several children, the planner finds back to back times for you. See booking for several children .

Can I cancel anytime?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Go to Settings , then Billing , and click Manage billing . Cancel there. Only an owner or admin can do it. You keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for, then move to Free. Nothing is deleted. On Free, SchoolConferenceGo stays on only if it is your one picked product.

Question 7

Can I change who pays the ticket fee?

Accepted Answer

You choose it per event, on the create page under Price , in Who pays the fee : Buyer, shown before paying adds the fee on top at checkout. You keep the full ticket price. We do, out of the ticket price keeps the price as printed. The fee comes out of what you receive. After you create the event, the choice is locked for that event. The event page shows it next to Prices . Changing it later would change what earlier buyers were charged. To switch, use Duplicate to start a fresh copy, or pick the other option on your next event. Card processing is inside the one fee, so there is nothing separate to split.

Can I charge per team or per player for a tournament?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you pick one or the other. When you create the tournament, tick Charge an entry fee (paid to your Stripe account) . Under Charge , choose Per team or Per player , then set the Team price ($) or Player price ($) . The captain pays when they register the team. Leave the box unticked for a free tournament.

Can I customize the signup form?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When you create a signup, open Signup form on the needs step. Tick Ask for the student's name and class if you need it, and add up to three extra questions with an answer type of Text, Number, or Choices. On a signup you already made, use the Questions card on its page, pick Short answer, Choice, or Number, and click Save questions . Answers show next to each name and in the CSV.

Can I get a refund on my donation?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Refunds are made by the school or group that runs the drive. Their name is at the top of the drive page and on your emailed receipt. Contact them and say which gift you want refunded. When they refund it, the whole amount you paid goes back to the same card, fees included, and you get an email. It can take several business days to show on your statement. If you give every month and want it to stop, use the link in any monthly receipt. You do not need to ask anyone.

Question 11

Can I get a tax receipt for my gift?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your emailed receipt is your record of the gift. It comes right after you give, and you do not need an account. What the receipt shows The amount you gave, the drive, and the student it was for, if any. What was charged and the date. Whether you covered the fee. If the school or group is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, a line that says so, with its EIN when it is on file, and that no goods or services were given for the gift. Good to know Monthly gifts get a new receipt each month. A pledge gets its receipt when it is charged, after the count. Store purchases get an order receipt. You got something back, so it is not a tax deductible gift. No 501(c)(3) line? Ask the school or group if your gift is tax deductible. Their name is on the receipt. Lost it? Search your email for "Thank you for your" and the group's name, or ask the group. They can see every gift. SizzleGo does not give tax advice. Ask a tax professional about your own return.

Can I invite other people to help manage signups?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Go to Team , enter their Email , and pick an access preset. PTA volunteer can build and edit signups, fundraisers, and ticketed events. Click Send invite . They get an email to join, with their own sign in, so nobody shares a password. The Free plan includes 2 organizers. Community and up include unlimited.

Question 13

Can I move someone to a different spot?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Go to Signups and open the signup. Next to the person's name, pick a spot in Move to and click Move . They get an email that starts with Moved and shows their new spot. Their payment, link, and QR code move with them. Good to know Only open spots with the same price that have not started yet are listed. For a spot with a different price, click Remove next to their name. Any payment is refunded in full, and they can sign up again for the right spot. You can move a confirmed person who has not checked in. Someone on the waitlist cannot be moved. You can move people even after families can no longer change their own spot. Families can also switch themselves: the link in their confirmation email has Switch to another spot .

Can I review events before they go public?

Accepted Answer

Yes. On one calendar, open Settings and set Contributor changes to Review before public , then click Save settings . Use the school default follows the school wide setting, and Publish instantly skips review. To set it for every calendar, use the Settings section at the bottom of the main Calendar page, pick Review before public , and click Save default . New events and changes from a Publisher then wait as pending review. They show under Needs you , where you click Approve or Reject . Nothing shows on the public calendar until you approve it. Editors, calendar owners, and admins always publish directly.

Can I run conferences over several days?

Accepted Answer

Yes. In Dates, one per line , type each date on its own line. Families see the times grouped by day, and teachers see each day under its own heading. Every date on one night uses the same From and To window, the same meeting length, and the same breaks. If Thursday runs 3:30 to 7:30 and Friday runs 8:00 to 12:00, create two nights, one for each. On conference day, the Check-in page has a Day picker so you only see one date at a time.

Can I see which families have not booked yet?

Not as a list. SchoolConferenceGo does not compare bookings against a student roster. What you can do: click Invite families on a night that is open for booking. It counts the parents in People who have not booked this night and lets you email them the booking link in one click. Families already booked are left out automatically, so you can send it again later as a nudge. To see who has booked, use the Bookings list on the night page or Download roster (CSV) on Reports.

Can I try it before paying?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Start on the Free plan, with no card. Pick SchoolConferenceGo as your one extra product in Settings , and you can run up to 3 conference nights open for booking at a time. Building a night costs nothing, and you can look at the public page before you publish. When you need more, upgrade to Community or School in Settings , Billing . Everything you set up stays.

Can I upload an event image for a tournament?

Accepted Answer

No. Tournaments and signup sheets do not take their own image. Your organization's logo shows on the pages families see. Set it in Settings , under Branding .

Can I use this for virtual conferences?

Accepted Answer

SchoolConferenceGo is built for in person conference nights. There is no field for a Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams link, and confirmations do not carry one. If a night is virtual, you can still use it to book the times. Then send the meeting link to every booked family with Message families .

Can teachers block off break times?

Accepted Answer

Yes, two ways. For everyone : type breaks like 17:00-17:30 in Breaks when you create the night, or under Edit this night before anyone books. For one teacher : the teacher opens their private link and taps Block next to any open time. Unblock gives it back. A time a family already booked cannot be blocked. Blocked times look faded on the booking page and cannot be picked.

Can we block off seats?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Seats are blocked in the seat map itself. A blocked seat never shows as open to buyers and is not counted in your capacity. Use it for a tech booth, a camera spot, or seats with no view. There is no block button on the event page. To block or unblock seats, send the seat list to hello@sizzlego.com and we update the map. If you built your own map file, mark those seats blocked and upload it again. Giving seats away instead For board members, cast families, or guests, use comps. Open the event under Tickets , go to Comp tickets , type the guest name and email, pick the seats, and press Issue comp tickets . The guest gets the same QR tickets as a buyer, with no charge and no fee. Only owners and admins can issue comps.

Can we see who's sitting where, and move people?

Accepted Answer

Yes, for reserved seat events. Go to Tickets and open the event. Scroll to Attendees . Each row shows the seat, the name, the serial, what was paid, and the status (Valid, In, Refunded, or Void). To move someone, pick an open seat in the Move column and press Move . The ticket holder gets an email that their seat changed. Their link and QR code keep working and show the new seat at the door. There is no charge for the move. Good to know Only open, unblocked seats are in the list. If it says "full", there is nowhere to move them. General admission events have no seats, so there is no Move column. Use Download attendees (CSV) for a printable list.

Do I need an account to give?

Accepted Answer

No. On the drive or student page, you pick an amount, type your name and an email for the receipt, and pay with a card. There is no login and no password. Your receipt comes by email right after you give. You can add a note, and you can check Keep my name off the page to give without your name showing. If you give every month, each receipt has a link to stop it. No account needed for that either.

Do I need to install any software?

No. Everything runs in a web browser. Staff sign in to SizzleGo.com. Teachers open a private link. Families open the booking link. Nobody downloads an app. For check-in on the night, any phone or tablet with a browser works, and its camera can scan a family's QR code.

Do our attendees need an account or an app?

Accepted Answer

No. Buyers open your event link, pick seats or how many tickets, type a name and email, and pay with a card. Apple Pay and Google Pay show up when their phone supports them. The confirmation email has an Open your tickets link. That page holds a QR code for each ticket. They show it at the door. No password, no download, and no printing. From the same page they can add the event to their calendar, send a ticket to someone else, or ask for a refund. If they lose the email, they can get it again at Find my tickets .

Do parents and families need an account or a password?

Accepted Answer

No. Parents, buyers, donors, and volunteers never make a SizzleGo account. You sign up for a slot, buy a ticket, give to a fundraiser, or book a conference with just your name and email. Your confirmation email has the links you need to see or change what you did. Keep it handy. Your family home Want everything from every school in one place? Go to SizzleGo.com/home and sign in with an email link or a 6 digit text code. There is still no password and nothing to create. See your family home . The family portal Some schools use a family portal to show grades, attendance, and fees. It still has no password. Open the family page link your school sent you. Type the email address the school has on file. Click Email me a link . Open the email and click the link. You are signed in. Good to know If no email arrives, the school may have a different address for you. Ask the front office to check it. There is no password to forget or reset. Your school's grades, attendance, forms, and fees also show on your family home at SizzleGo.com/home.

Do parents need to create an account?

Accepted Answer

No. There is no account and no password. To book, a parent types the student's name, their own name, and an email, plus a phone number if the school asks for one. The confirmation email has a Manage Schedule link to change or cancel. If the email is lost, Find Your Schedule on the booking page sends the links again.

Do team sections take registrations or payments?

Accepted Answer

No. A team section gathers what the team already runs in SizzleGo and links to it. It does not register players or take money itself. Team registration and entry fees: use a tournament under Signups , then Tournaments . Volunteers, snack schedules and carpools: use a signup sheet. Fundraising: paste a fundraiser link into Donate link .

Question 29

Does a new organization need to be approved before going live?

Accepted Answer

Only by Stripe. When you connect Stripe under Settings , then Billing , Stripe confirms your organization and bank account. Once Stripe says you can take payments, you can publish. There is no separate SizzleGo approval to wait for. Stripe may turn on payouts to your bank a little later than payments, while it finishes its checks.

Does a tournament send match reminders or score alerts?

Accepted Answer

No. Tournaments do not send match reminders or score alerts by text. When a captain registers, they get an email with their team page. The public tournament page shows the bracket as you enter results, so teams and families can check it from their phones. To reach captains, use the captain emails in the Teams table. A newsletter started from Campaigns can also reach people by email, but only contacts who opted in to marketing.

How are brackets generated and displayed?

When you click Generate bracket , Generate schedule , or Generate pools , SizzleGo places only confirmed teams, seeded by registration order or at random, whichever you picked. For pools then bracket, the top teams in each pool move into a playoff bracket when you click Generate playoff bracket . As you enter results, winners advance on their own. The public tournament page shows the bracket and standings so families can follow along.

How do accessible (ADA) seats work?

Accepted Answer

Accessible seats are marked on your seat map with their own symbol. Buyers pick them on the same page, at the same price as nearby seats. A buyer can pick the seat next to it for a companion in the same order. Nobody is ever asked for proof of a disability. Good to know Which seats are accessible is set in the seat map. To change them, email hello@sizzlego.com . The app does not hold accessible seats back or pair them only with companions. If you need some held, block them in the map and give them out with comp tickets. General admission events have no seats, so plan accessible space in the room yourself.

How do door volunteers check people in without my login?

Give them the door PIN. Set it on the signup's Check-in and safety card. Volunteers scan each QR code with their own phone camera, type the PIN once, and tap Unlock check-in . They never see your dashboard. The phone stays unlocked for that signup for 30 days, and saving a new PIN locks every phone out. Scanning tickets for a play or game is part of EventTicketGo. How do I change or cancel my conference?

Open your confirmation email and tap Manage Schedule . To move to another time with the same teacher, pick it under Select a New Time and tap Change Time . To cancel, tap Cancel Appointment . Your old time is freed for another family right away. Lost the email? On the school's booking page, use Find Your Schedule . If the cancel button is grayed out, call the school office. How do I create a parent-teacher conference?

Conferences have their own tool, SchoolConferenceGo. Go to Conferences in the menu, or pick Parent-Teacher Conference under Browse templates on the Signups page. Set the date, times, and slot length, add your teachers, and publish. See Create a conference .

How do I handle walk in families?

Accepted Answer

Open the night under Conferences and click Book for a family . Pick the Teacher (then Show times ), type the Student and Parent name, and click Book . Email and phone are optional. Then check them in on the Check-in page. Only times that have not started yet are offered. This works even after you close booking for families. There is no separate first come line mode; every meeting has a time.

How do I import my teacher roster?

Export your staff list to a CSV file from your student information system or a spreadsheet. Go to Conferences , open the night, and under Import a teacher roster (CSV) pick the file and click Import CSV . Give the file a header row. Columns for name, email, grade or subject, and room are found by their header words, in any order. Only a name is required. No accounts are made for teachers; each one gets a private link instead. How do I import teachers from a spreadsheet?

Teacher imports belong to SchoolConferenceGo, the conference tool. Go to Conferences , open your conference, and import your teacher list there. See How do I import my teacher roster? and CSV import errors . Signup sheets do not need a teacher list.

Question 39

How do I pause or restart a campaign?

Accepted Answer

Go to Ads and click the campaign. While it runs, click Pause . Spending stops. To start again, click Resume and confirm. The same cap still applies. Resuming takes someone who can publish Ads, like an owner, an admin, or a Manager on Ads. Resume is refused when spend is already at 95 percent of the cap, when spending has run far ahead of pace, or when the campaign has ended. To keep going after it ends, plan a new campaign. A campaign can also pause on its own. The page says why next to Paused : The spend guard paused it near the cap or for spending too fast. Landing page is down : every few minutes AdGo checks that the page or link you promote loads. If it does not, the campaign pauses so no money goes to a broken page. There is no delete button for a campaign today. Pause it, or let it end.

How do I send reminders to people who signed up?

Accepted Answer

You do not need to. Everyone on a signup gets a reminder email the day before, at the hour set in Reminder the day before at . Change the hour under Edit details and spots and click Save changes . Families who add a mobile number and tick the text box also get a text. To send your own note, use Message the volunteers on the signup page. An email costs 1 credit and a text costs 3 credits per 160 characters.

How do I set up Stripe payments?

Accepted Answer

Go to Settings , then Billing . Under Payouts , click Connect Stripe and finish Stripe's form with your bank and tax details. It takes about five minutes, and only an owner or admin can do it. Once connected, the card shows Stripe connected, and paid spots, memberships, shop orders, and entry fees all go to that account. To change your bank later, click Update payout details . A signup with paid spots cannot be published until Stripe is connected, so families never reach a pay step that does not work.

How do I share calendar access with staff?

Open the calendar and scroll to Who can edit . Pick a level for each team member and click Save : No access, Viewer, Editor, Publisher, or Calendar owner. Editors publish changes directly. Publishers go through review when the calendar requires it. Owners and admins always have full access. To add someone new, go to Team , enter their email, and click Send invite . On the Team page you can also give Calendar access to all calendars or to just one.

Credits pay for the emails and texts SchoolConferenceGo sends to families. One credit is one cent. An email is 1 credit. A text is 3 credits for each 160 characters. Uses credits: booking confirmations, reminders, waitlist emails, Invite families, and Message families. Free: the email that sends teachers their link, and the morning after feedback question. Every plan includes credits each month: 400 on Free, 1,500 on Community, and 2,500 on School and District. Included credits refresh monthly. Credits you buy never expire. See your balance under Credits at the bottom of the left menu, and buy packs in Settings , Billing . Turn on Auto refill so you never run dry on conference night. Before you send an invite or a message, the confirm box shows the most it can cost.

How does our auditorium become a seat map?

Accepted Answer

Three ways to start: We build it. Email your seating diagram, even a phone photo of a paper one, to hello@sizzlego.com . We build the map with row letters, seat numbers, accessible seats, and any blocked seats. It then shows up in the Seat map list when you create an event. Upload a file. On Create an event , pick Upload a new one under Seat map , choose your Seat map file (JSON) , and give it a Seat map name . Skip seats. Pick General admission, buyers pick how many and set a capacity. Nothing to upload. A map is saved to the venue, so every future event in that room can reuse it. Price zones Once an event uses the map, press Paint price zones on the event page. Click or drag to paint seats into tiers like Front, Mid, and Rear, then press Save tiers . Set each tier's dollars under Prices on the event page.

How does QR code check-in work?

Accepted Answer

Each confirmed person sees a QR code on their signup page, the one linked from their confirmation email. Set a door PIN on the signup's Check-in and safety card. Staff scan the code with a phone camera, type the PIN once, tap Unlock check-in , then tap Check in . Without a PIN, the code shows Show this at the front desk, and you check people in from the signup page. See Check volunteers in at the door with a PIN .

How does the spending cap protect me?

Accepted Answer

The cap is a wall, not a target. A 5 percent safety margin (at least $15) comes off the top before the plan is written, and then a guard checks spend every 30 minutes: 80 percent of the cap: you get an email. Nothing changes. 90 percent: the daily budget is turned down so the rest lands under the cap. You get an email. 95 percent: the campaign pauses. You get an email. Spending more than twice as fast as planned: the campaign pauses, even under the cap. The emails go to the person who approved the campaign. The campaign page shows how much is spent against the cap with a progress bar, and says when the guard turned the daily budget down. A daily advisor also reads the campaign once a day. It can only slow spending, never raise it.

Question 50

How fast does money reach our bank account?

Accepted Answer

Every gift goes straight into your organization's own Stripe account as it comes in. SizzleGo does not hold it. SizzleGo sends a payout from that account to your bank once a day. It covers everything that has cleared in Stripe: gifts, store orders, monthly gifts, pledges, and money from your other tools. Stripe usually clears a card payment about two business days after it is made, and the bank deposit then takes a day or two. Ticket money is the one exception: it waits until about a week after each show ends, so a cancelled show can still be refunded. Amounts under $1 wait for the next day. To check, go to Money . To your bank shows what has already landed. Next payout shows a payout on its way, or says it is waiting for the next daily payout. If a payout looks late, write to hello@sizzlego.com. Nothing can be paid out until Stripe has turned payouts on for your account.
