The standard
SizzleGo is built to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. That is the standard named in the ADA Title II rule for state and local governments, including public schools, and in Section 508. Schools and districts can read our conformance report, a VPAT, at the link below.

Where we stand
SizzleGo is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA. Partially conformant means most of the content meets the standard and we have a short list of known gaps, each with a workaround, listed below. Our September 16, 2026 review found no failures on any page in an automated check of the public site, the resident app, and the signed in organizer app.
What we do
- Our design system fixes color, type, spacing, and motion in one place, with contrast ratios written into the rules. Every button and link has a visible focus ring. Reduced motion turns off every animation, including confetti.
- Forms use real labels, real buttons, and error text you can read, not color alone. The public sign up, booking, ticket, and giving forms work without JavaScript.
- Pages carry landmarks, one heading per page, titles, and the page language, including the translated versions.
- We run an automated WCAG check on every page whenever the look of the site changes, and we review keyboard and screen reader use by hand.
Known gaps
- The photo crop tool in the GazetteGo resident profile is drag only. You can upload a photo without cropping it, and town staff can crop it for you.
- Reserved seats are held for 10 minutes while you pick, and 30 minutes once you start checkout. Sign in links for GazetteGo residents last 15 minutes. These limits keep seats fair and accounts safe, and you can take a seat or request a link again at any time.
- The moving product strip on the home page pauses when you hover over it, and stops entirely under reduced motion. A pause button is on the list.
- Form field borders on white cards are lighter than the 3:1 the guidelines ask for. Every field has a visible label above it and a strong focus ring. Darker borders are on the list.
- Some live updates inside the organizer app, such as counts that change while you work, are not yet announced to screen readers.
Works with
SizzleGo is tested in current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, on desktop and phones, with VoiceOver on Mac and iOS and NVDA on Windows. It is built with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WAI-ARIA, and it does not need a plug in.

How we checked
This statement rests on our own review: an automated check with axe-core 4.10 across 28 pages on September 16, 2026, a hand review of keyboard and screen reader use of the densest screens, and the design rules our team builds against. We will update this page and the VPAT when anything above changes.
