Log volunteer hours and get the yearly report
After an event, record how long each volunteer helped. The hours add up across every signup into a report for the school year. Volunteers see their own total too.
Steps
Record hours for one signup
- Go to Signups and open the signup.
- On the Filled card, click Record hours.
- Each confirmed volunteer has a box. It starts at the spot's length when the spot has a start and end time.
- Change any box. You can type 2, 1.5, or 1:30. Clear a box to remove the hours.
- Click Save hours.
See the yearly report
- Go to Signups, then click Volunteer hours.
- Pick the School year and click Show.
- You see total hours, the number of volunteers, and a table of hours by volunteer.
- Click Download CSV for a spreadsheet.
Good to know
- A school year runs July to June.
- Hours round to the nearest quarter hour, from 0 to 24 for one shift.
- The report counts finished shifts with no hours yet, so you know what is missing.
- Only boxes you change are saved, and each change is kept in the audit trail.
- Volunteers see the hours for that shift and their total for the year on their own signup page, in English or Spanish.
- If you can view Signups but not edit them, the boxes are read only.
