The morning board: who is out, late, or unaccounted for

When you open the Front office, you land on This morning. It shows today's date, how many students you have, and three cards that sort your day.

The three cards

• Out: students reported sick or out for another reason, with the time and any note from home.
• Late or leaving early: students reported late or for early pickup, and students signed out or signed in late at the desk.
• Unaccounted: students marked absent with no word from home yet. When this is empty you see Everyone is accounted for.

What else is on the page

• Buttons along the top open Messages, Message families, Calendar, Roster and settings, Directory, Sign out or late arrival, Emergency roster, Fees, Forms, and Workflows. Nurse visits shows for people who can see health notes.
• Needs attention lists tasks your workflows raised. Click Resolve when you have handled one.
• Everyone else is the list of students with nothing on file today. This is where you mark absences.
• Run trail shows every time a student was marked absent with no word from home, and what happened next.

Good to know

• The board resets each school day in your school's time zone.
• A teacher's class attendance counts too. A student marked absent in every class taken today shows as Unaccounted, "absent in class attendance".
• Marking and recording need edit access to the Front office. Every mark is logged.
