Connect Stripe to get paid

Before families can pay you, connect a Stripe account. Stripe holds the money and sends it to your bank. SizzleGo never holds it.

Before you start

• You must be the owner or an admin.
• Have your organization's legal name, tax ID if you have one, and bank routing and account numbers ready.

Steps

1. Go to Settings, then Billing.
2. Find the Payouts box and click Connect Stripe.
3. Stripe opens its own form. It asks about your organization, the person responsible for the account, and the bank account for payouts. It takes about five minutes.
4. When you finish, Stripe sends you back to Billing. The box now says Stripe connected.

Charges vs payouts

• Charges enabled means you can take payments. The box says Stripe connected.
• Payouts enabled means Stripe can send the money to your bank. If the box says payouts turn on once Stripe finishes checking your details, Stripe still needs something from you.
• Click Update payout details to go back to Stripe and finish or change your bank.

Good to know

• You connect once. Tickets, fundraisers, and fees all use the same account.
• The Money page shows Set up payouts until payouts are on.
• New board? Update the bank in Stripe during your handoff.
