Run a sports tournament

Tournaments live inside Signups. Captains register their teams on a public page, you generate the games, and you enter results as games finish.

Steps

1. Go to Signups, then click Tournaments.
2. Enter the Title, Date, Where, Sport, and Max teams.
3. Pick the Format: Single elimination (bracket), Round robin (everyone plays everyone), or Pools then bracket. Pick the Seeding: Registration order or Random.
4. Set the team size, Courts or fields, First serve, and Minutes per round.
5. To charge, tick Charge an entry fee and set the price.
6. Click Create tournament, then share the public page.
7. When the teams are in, click Close registration.
8. Click Generate bracket, Generate schedule, or Generate pools, depending on the format. Then click Assign courts and times.
9. Enter scores as games finish. Winners advance on their own.

Good to know

• A bracket or round robin needs two confirmed teams. Pools need four.
• Each team gets a link to manage its roster and to check in on game day.
• The public page shows the bracket so families can follow along.
• Tournaments do not sell spectator tickets or send match texts. Sell tickets with EventTicketGo.
