Creating a Conference Event
A closer look at all six steps of the conference wizard.
Step 1: Event Details
From the dashboard, click 'New Conference'. Name the conference (for example 'Fall 2026 Parent-Teacher Conferences'), choose the format — In-Person, Virtual, or Hybrid — add a location or meeting link and a description, and pick your date range.
Step 2: Select Teachers
Choose which teachers should have schedules for this conference. You can select everyone or pick specific teachers.
Step 3: Teacher Teams (Optional)
Group teachers into teams if some should share a single schedule with different slot lengths — for example, 20-minute slots for the principal and 7-minute slots for electives. Skip this step if every teacher just needs their own individual schedule.
Step 4: Schedule by Date
For each date (and each team, if you made any), set the start and end times and the slot length, then click 'Generate All Time Slots'. Add a break if you want a gap between appointments.
Tip: 15-minute slots with a short break give teachers a moment to breathe between families.
Step 5: Conference Settings
Configure registration options for this event — things like whether parents can cancel their own bookings and how many slots one family can book.
Step 6: Preview and Publish
Preview exactly what parents will see. When you're ready, click 'Publish Conference' to make it live. You'll get a unique URL to share with parents.
Tip: Building and previewing are free. Publishing requires an active subscription — your conference stays saved as a draft until you subscribe under Settings > Plans.
