Add a button or a quick question
A message can ask families to do one thing. Add a button that opens a link, or a short question families answer with one tap. Either way, MessageGo tracks who has done it.
Steps
- In the composer, go to the Message step.
- Open Add a button or a quick yes/no.
- For a button, fill in Button text, optional and Link. The link must start with https://.
- For a question, type the answers in Or ask a quick yes/no, optional, split by commas. Example: We'll be there, Can't make it.
- Finish and send as usual. The Ready to send screen shows the button and the answers.
See who answered
- On Messages, find the Who's done table.
- Click the message. You see Answers with a count for each choice, then Still out and Done by family name.
- Click Download CSV for the full list.
Good to know
- Up to four answers. If you type more, the composer warns you and only the first four go out. Each family gets their own answer link, so no one needs an account.
- In a text, families can reply with a number, like 1 for the first answer.
- Families can change their answer later. The tally follows.
