Mark a fee paid in cash or by check, or waive it
When a family pays at the front desk, mark the fee paid so their balance clears. You can also waive a fee, for example for a scholarship or a family in need.
Steps
- Go to Front office, then Fees.
- Tap the fee name. Or pick the child in A student鈥檚 fees and tap Open.
- Find the student. Their status says Owes.
- Type a note in Note, optional if you want, like a check number.
- Tap Cash, Check, or Waive, then confirm.
The status changes to Paid by cash, Paid by check, or Waived. The family鈥檚 balance drops right away.
Undo a mistake
- Find the student on the fee page or the student鈥檚 fees page.
- Tap Undo on their row and confirm.
The fee is owed again. A cash or check line comes off Money. Undo works on cash, check, and waived rows. A card payment cannot be undone. Refund it instead. See Refund a fee or a permission slip fee paid by card.
Good to know
- These buttons only show while a fee is still owed.
- Cash and checks show in Money under Cash and check. That money is already with you, so it is never part of a payout. See Where fee money shows in Money.
- A waived fee is not money, so it does not show in Money.
- The family sees the paid fee in a Paid list on their family page.
- You need Front office edit access to see these buttons.
