Start a fund drive

A fund drive gives your group one page with a thermometer, and gives every student their own page to share. Donors give as guests.

Before you start

FundDriveGo must be on your plan (Community and up, or picked as your one extra product on Free). You can build without Stripe, but you need it to publish.

Steps

1. Go to Fundraising and click Start a drive.
2. Fill in Title, Goal, dollars, and Ends.
3. Pick a Drive type: gifts paid right away, or pledges per lap, book, or minute.
4. Write the story in two or three sentences.
5. Paste your roster, one per line: first name and last initial. Add a team after a bar.
6. Leave Ask donors to cover the fees checked unless you want to absorb them. Click Create drive.
7. On the drive, add a Cover picture and click Upload picture.
8. Click Publish. Then share the drive link, and use the Tell your contacts card to email families.

Good to know

• The end date shows as a countdown. The drive closes on its own at the end date: it stops taking gifts, store orders, and pledges, monthly gifts stop, and you get an email with what it raised. To stop sooner, click End the drive. A drive you end early can take gifts again with Reopen the drive, until its end date. The end date cannot be changed after you create the drive, so pick it with care.
• You can add a store with Shop & items and a sponsor strip with Sponsors.
• On the Free plan, you can have 3 live drives at a time.
