Post the school lunch menu
A lunch menu calendar shows families this week's lunch on the public page, the website embed, and their synced phone calendar. Families can also ask for a short note each school morning.
Before you start
An owner or admin creates the calendar.
Steps
- Go to Calendar and click Create a calendar.
- Name it. Under What goes on it, pick Lunch menu. Click Create calendar.
- On the lunch page, click Download the CSV template. Fill in one row per meal per day with the columns date, meal, menu, allergens.
- Under Import a month, use Choose a CSV file, or paste the rows into the box.
- Click Preview. Every meal is listed. Bad rows are named by their spreadsheet row number.
- Click the Save button (it shows the number of days) and confirm.
- To add or fix one day, use Type one day. Pick the Day and Meal, type the Menu and any allergens, and click Save day.
- Under Menu settings, paste your district's meal account site into the Pay for lunch link box and click Save settings.
- Go back to the calendar page and click Publish.
Good to know
- Dates can look like 2026-10-05 or 10/5/2026.
- Importing the same days again replaces them, so a corrected sheet never doubles up.
- The public page shows Monday to Friday with a Today tag and allergens. Next week is folded below.
- Pay for lunch opens the vendor's own site. SizzleGo never handles lunch money.
- Families who tick the morning note get it early on school mornings that have a menu, usually around 8 AM and never during your quiet hours. The email is free. A text costs 3 credits per 160 characters.
- Already have a calendar for lunch? Under its Settings, click Make this a lunch menu, then tick This calendar is a lunch menu and save.
