Use Student success to spot students who need help
Student success puts the students who most need a look at the top. It shows its parts, so a person reads them and decides. Owners and admins can open it.
Steps
- In the rail, open Classes. Under Teaching, click Student success.
- Read the list. Each student has a Score, a Standing, and any Signals.
- Click a name to see the attendance, grades, and behavior parts, and What to consider.
How the score works
- Attendance counts 40%, grades 40%, and behavior 20%. A part with no data is left out.
- Standing: Thriving at 85 and up, On track at 70, Watch at 55, and At risk below 55.
- Signals: chronic absence (3 or more absences and at least 10% of marked days), failing a class (below 60%), and behavior concern (net behavior points of minus 5 or lower).
AI summary
- It is off for every school until an admin clicks Turn on for this school on a student page.
- When on, Write an AI summary sends that student's numbers to Anthropic, our AI provider. It never sends a name. Check your district data agreement first.
- Click Turn off AI summaries for this school to stop it.
