HomeroomGoAccess and roles
Who can see what in HomeroomGo
HomeroomGo holds student records, so access is tight. Here is who sees what.
- Owner and admin: every class and every office page, including the roster, report cards, transcripts, and exports.
- Principal preset: the same as an admin inside HomeroomGo, without billing.
- Teacher preset: only the classes they teach. They can create a class, enroll, grade, take attendance, write comments, and log behavior for their own students. The office pages show a note to ask an admin.
- Anyone else on your team: nothing in HomeroomGo unless they have a Classes grant. A PTA volunteer never sees a student.
Invite a teacher
- In the rail, open Team.
- Type their Email and choose Teacher.
- Click Send invite.
Give someone on the team class access
- On Team, find the person. Under Function, pick Classes.
- Pick Editor as the Level so they can save grades. Click Add.
Good to know
- A teacher owns a class they create, or one an admin reassigns to them.
- Health notes the office shares with teachers show as a Health note badge on the class page. Opening them is logged.
- Families see only their own children, on the family page.
