Build, issue, and print report cards

A report card is a frozen snapshot of a student's grades, GPA, comments, and attendance for one term. Owners and admins issue them. Teachers write comments on their class pages.

Steps

  1. In the rail, open Classes. Under Teaching, click Report cards.
  2. The Term starts on the current term. To pick another, type it and click Preview term.
  3. Check the list. Each student shows a GPA and each class letter. "(comment)" means a teacher wrote one. Click a name to see the full card.
  4. Click Issue report cards for the term and confirm.
  5. Issuing runs in the background and shows how many are done. You can leave the page. When it finishes, families can see the cards.

Print a card

  1. Click the student's name, then Print report card. Choose Save as PDF in the print window for a file.

Good to know

  • Only classes set to this term, or with no term, count. A student with no class this term gets no card and no email.
  • Each family gets an email that their child's report card is ready, with a link to the family page. Each email uses 1 credit.
  • Changes after issuing do not change the card. The card page tells you when grades or comments changed. Issue the term again to update it. The earlier version is kept, and families do not get a second email.
  • Attendance counts school days inside the term's dates. A term with no dates counts every marked day.
  • If issuing stops, the page says how many finished. Issue again to finish the rest.
