GazetteGoModeration and photos
Review resident profile photos
In the GazetteGo neighborhood app, residents add a profile photo and tick a box saying it is really them. Town staff then check each one on the Photo review page.
Before you start
You need edit access to Newsletter. The page only fills up if your town runs the neighborhood app.
Steps
- Go to Newsletter, then Photo review.
- Each waiting photo shows with the resident's name and email.
- If it is a clear photo of one real person, click Approve.
- If not, type a short reason in the Reason box, such as No face visible. Then click Deny and email resident.
Good to know
- Not sure? Click What makes a good photo? for the checklist.
- The resident sees your exact words in the email and in a note on their home page. Keep it short and kind.
- A blank reason sends: Please upload a clear photo of your face.
- If the email fails, the page tells you. The resident still sees the note in the app.
- Only approved photos show on event attendee lists.
- Denying a photo does not stop someone from posting. To stop a person posting, use Ban creator on the Moderation page.
- The denial email is free.
