Handle reported posts and trusted moderators

Residents can report posts, listings, events, businesses and concerns in the GazetteGo neighborhood app. Reports land on the Moderation page for town staff.

Steps

1. Go to Newsletter, then Moderation.
2. Under Waiting, each item shows what was posted, whether it is hidden or still visible, the number of reports, and the reason given.
3. Pick one. Looks fine, bring it back (or Looks fine, dismiss if it is still up) clears the report. Keep it removed (or Take it down) keeps it off the app. Ban creator hides everything that person posted and stops them posting.

Add a trusted moderator

1. Under Trusted moderators, type the resident's email in Resident email.
2. Click Make trusted. To undo, click Remove next to their name.

Good to know

• One report keeps the item up and puts it in your queue.
• A second report from a different resident hides it until you decide. The same person reporting twice counts once.
• One report from a trusted moderator hides it right away.
• The trusted email must belong to a resident already signed up in your town.
• Banned people are listed under Banned. Click Unban to bring their posts back.
• Each report, removal and ban is saved in the audit trail.
