Why don't "Raised" and "To your bank" match?

The numbers measure different things, so they rarely match.

Where each number comes from

• Raised, on your drive page, is the total of gifts and store orders. It goes down when you refund.
• Under it, the drive shows how many donors covered fees and the amount net to you after fees.
• To your bank, on the Money page, is what Stripe has already deposited. It covers every tool, not just this drive.
• Next payout, also on Money, is money on its way.

Why they differ

• Fees: when a donor does not cover the fee, it comes out of the gift.
• Timing: payouts go out after the money comes in, so recent gifts are not in the bank yet.
• Other tools: ticket sales and fees from other tools are in the same payouts.
• Cash and checks: sponsor money you record as cash or check shows on Money but is never part of a payout, because you already have it.
