Monthly donors: see and stop monthly gifts

On a donation drive, donors can choose to give every month. The first month is charged when they sign up, and the same card is charged once a month after that.

Before you start

Monthly giving is only on drives with the type Gifts, paid right away. Pledge drives do not offer it. The drive must be live.

Steps

1. Share your drive. Donors see Or give every month under the give box on the drive page and each student page.
2. To see who gives monthly, go to Fundraising, open the drive, and scroll to Monthly donors. It shows who, who it is for, the amount each month, how many months so far, and the next charge date.
3. To stop one, click Stop on that row and confirm. Nothing more is charged, and the donor gets an email.

Good to know

• Each month is its own gift with its own receipt. It shows in Gifts with a monthly tag and in Download donations (CSV).
• The charge falls on the same day each month, the 28th at the latest.
• Every receipt has a link the donor can use to stop it on their own.
• If a card is declined, that monthly gift stops and the donor is told. It is not retried.
• When you end the drive, its monthly gifts stop and donors get an email.
• Monthly amounts are $1 to $1,000.
• The Monthly donors table only shows once someone has signed up.
