Give discounts with promo codes, and free seats with comps

Use a promo code to give buyers money off. Use comp tickets to give seats away to a guest, a board member, or a cast family.

Add a promo code

1. Go to Tickets and open the event.
2. Scroll to Promo codes.
3. Type a Code, like EARLYBIRD. Use 2 to 32 letters or numbers, with no spaces.
4. Pick a Kind: Percent off or Dollars off. Then type the Amount (whole percent, or dollars).
5. If you want, fill in Max uses, optional and Expires, optional.
6. Press Add code.

Buyers type the code under Have a code? at checkout and press Apply. The table shows how many times each code was used. Press Remove to turn a code off.

Issue comp tickets

1. On the same event page, scroll to Comp tickets.
2. Type the Guest name and Guest email.
3. Pick the seats. For general admission, type how many of each ticket type.
4. Press Issue comp tickets.

Good to know

• A code takes money off the ticket price only, not off extras. The fee follows what is left, so an order that comes to $0 pays no fee.
• Each code belongs to one event. Add it again on other events.
• Comp guests get the same email and QR codes as a paid buyer, with no charge and no fee.
• Only owners and admins can issue comps. To take one back, press Cancel comp in the Orders table.
• Comps are left out of Gross and Net on the Earnings page.
