Travel Cheerleading Competitions: Running Them Like a Tournament

Travel cheer competitions in 2026 look a lot like tournaments: division-based registration, timed performance blocks, judges, and awards ceremonies. Scheduling rigor separates the marquee events from the local showcases.

Division registration

Level 1-6, youth/mini/junior/senior, all-star vs school - each gets its own form, fee, and block on the schedule.

Performance blocks

15-minute blocks per team, with 5-minute warmup mat and 10-minute performance mat. The scheduler should flow teams through both.

Scoring

Judges tablet-enter scores during or immediately after performance. Standings update live. Awards list is ready within 30 minutes of the last team.
