Travel Baseball Tournament Scheduler: Running 60+ Games on 6 Diamonds

Running a travel baseball tournament on 6 diamonds with 60+ games? Here's the scheduler logic that keeps the weekend on time.

Travel baseball weekends are a logistics puzzle: 16 teams, 6 diamonds, 60+ games, age-division diamonds that don't match, and a thunderstorm threatening Sunday afternoon. The scheduler is the only thing standing between your event and chaos.

Diamond tagging

A 60-foot base path diamond can't host 90-foot 14U matches. Tag diamonds by base path, pitching distance, and outfield size so the scheduler places games correctly.

Pool play format

  • 3 pool games per team Saturday
  • Bracket plays all day Sunday
  • Top 8 advance to gold, 9-16 to silver
  • Double-elimination on the championship side

Pitch count enforcement

Most travel leagues enforce daily and weekly pitch counts. Coaches enter pitch counts after each game and the system warns on Sunday if a pitcher is ineligible. No more forfeits from pitch count violations.

Weather

Rain delay → weather hold button → SMS to every team captain → revised schedule when play resumes. Your whole event should bend without breaking.
