Tournament Payouts & Revenue

The tournament dashboard includes a Financial Summary that breaks down every dollar you've collected - team registrations, entry tickets, and merchandise - and shows you the SignUpGo platform fee plus your net payout. Funds transfer automatically to your connected Stripe account via the daily payout cron, so you don't need to trigger anything manually.

When to use it

• Confirming what you'll net before your treasurer asks
• Reconciling tournament revenue against expenses
• Sharing a payout number with your board or booster club
• Auditing which teams have paid vs still owe

What you get

• Live Financial Summary: team registrations, entry tickets, merch revenue
• Gross revenue total across all payment types
• Platform fee line item with the plan name (sports plan, etc.)
• Net payout highlighted in green on the Overview tab
• Daily payout cron transfers funds to your connected Stripe account
• Backlog processor catches historical payments after late Stripe Connect onboarding
• Unified Revenue by Event list on the Reports page combines tournaments + other events

Setup

1. Connect your Stripe account in Settings > Payouts (required for live payments)
2. Complete the Stripe Connect onboarding form with bank and tax info
3. Once connected, new payments flow into your account automatically the next day
4. If you already had tournaments running when you connected, the backlog processor sweeps in the next cron cycle
5. Check the Overview tab of any tournament for the up-to-date Financial Summary
6. Use the org-level Reports page for a cross-tournament view

Tips

• The "Your Payout" number is always after the platform fee - use that when forecasting
• Platform fees vary by plan - upgrade to a higher tier to lower the per-transaction cut
• Refunds deduct from the next payout, not a clawback - no surprise charges
• Keep receipts/invoices for merch cost so you can calculate true profit, not just revenue
• The Reports page has a CSV export if you need numbers in a spreadsheet for your board
