HomeroomGoGradebook
What do Excused, Missing, Incomplete, and Late mean in the gradebook?
When you enter grades, each student has a code menu next to the points box. The grades table shows the code in the cell.
| Code | Shows as | What it does to the average |
|---|---|---|
| Excused | EX | Not counted at all. |
| Missing | M, in bold | Counts as zero. Families see the assignment listed as missing on their family page. |
| Incomplete | INC | Not counted yet. Replace it with a score later. |
| Late | L after the score | Counts the score you type. It is only a flag. |
Excused, Missing, and Incomplete need no score. Late needs one, or nothing saves. To swap a code for a score, set the code to No code and type the score. To remove a grade, tick Clear. Then click Save grades. Families see the change on their family page as soon as you save.
